How do I book?
Use the Check Dates button to see live availability and complete secure checkout. The website gives you the cabin, area, amenity, FAQ, and house-guide details before you leave to book.
How many guests can stay?
The cabin sleeps up to 6 guests, with 2 bedrooms, 3 beds, and 2 baths.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. The cabin is pet-friendly; bring normal pet supplies and keep pets supervised around the river, wildlife, and neighboring properties. Please keep animals off the furniture unless you lay down a blanket first, which helps avoid an additional pet cleaning charge.
What time is check-in?
Check-in is after 3:00 PM and checkout is before 12:00 PM unless a different time is approved in the reservation thread.
Is the cabin online?
Yes. Wifi is included, the cabin has cell phone signal, and it is on grid power, so guests can keep essentials connected while still feeling away from town.
Is there year-round vehicle access?
Yes. The cabin is located on Alaska's state-maintained highway system, which gives guests year-round vehicle access. Confirmed guests receive the private address, parking note, and door access details after booking.
How is the cabin heated in winter?
The cabin is very well insulated and comfortable in winter. Heat sources include a Toyo stove, wood stove, propane heat, and electric blankets.
Is the cabin a good hunting basecamp?
Yes. The cabin works well for hunters planning GMU 14A and 14B trips, with the combined hunt area surrounding Willow holding roughly 4,500 square miles of public game land. Guests should confirm current seasons, permits, land status, and access rules before heading out.
Where is the cabin exactly?
The cabin is in Willow, Alaska, on the state-maintained highway system. For guest privacy and security, the street address and access details are shared only after a reservation is confirmed.
What should I bring?
Pack for Alaska weather swings: layers, sturdy footwear, winter traction when appropriate, bug protection in summer, and any personal fishing, pet, or kid gear you rely on.
Is the river safe for kids and pets?
Treat the river like real Alaska water. It is fast moving, cold, and deeper than it can look at first glance. Changing banks and uneven ground mean kids and pets should be supervised closely near the water.
What part of the island can guests use?
The property has right-of-way access from across the river, and most of the island is available for guests to use. Only the most downstream bank of the island is off property.
